WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman Colin McGeehin (Newtown Square, Pa.) has been named the Turfer/New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Co-Player of the Week along with Doc Schneider of UMass. He scored six goals and had two assists for eight points in two contests, including his first two collegiate game-winners. He was just recently named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for this performance, marking it the second time he earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors this season.
McGeehin scored two goals including the double overtime game-winner in the 12-11 win at Vermont on April 7, while he had a career-best four goals and a career-best six points in the 9-4 win over Marist on April 11, as he also had two assists. He also scored the game-winner.
For the season his 21 goals and 27 points lead the team, while his six assists are tied for second.
The Crusaders return to action on April 18, when they play an away contest with Harvard at 4:00 p.m.
