PL Men's Lacrosse Poll Released

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2006 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Defending champion Navy was picked to repeat as it earned 11 of 14 first place votes and 71 total points, while Army had three first place votes and 59 total points as it was picked to finish second. Bucknell (47 total points), Lehigh (41 total points), Colgate (38 total points), Holy Cross (19 total points) and Lafayette (18 total points) rounded out the poll.
The Crusaders are set to kick off the 2006 season when they host Fairfield at the Hart Turf Field on Saturday, February 25, at 3:00 p.m. Holy Cross returns 22 letterwinners and five starters, including four of the team's top five scorers.
