Kennedy & McKenna Selected To Preseason All-New England Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior Reed Kennedy (Marblehead, Mass.) and junior captain Terry McKenna (Summit, N.J.) have been named to the 2014 Preseason All-New England team. Kennedy and McKenna were each selected to the second team.

Kennedy played in all 15 games last year with 14 starts on defense. He was third on the team with 35 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.  

McKenna, who earned 2013 second team All-New England accolades and was just recently named to the 2014 Preseason All-Patriot League team, was second on the team with 24 goals and third with 29 points last season. McKenna earned a spot on the 2013 Patriot League All-Academic team.

The Crusaders will kick off the 2014 season at No. 19 St. John's on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1:00 p.m. The game can be viewed on ESPN3. Last year, the Crusaders posted their most wins since the 1988 season with a 7-8 record. The Crusaders' 131 goals scored were their most since netting 138 in 1994. Holy Cross went 2-4 in the Patriot League, marking the first time in program history that the Crusaders had won two Patriot League games. The Crusaders return 35 letterwinners and six starters in the upcoming season.
