WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team placed 17 student-athletes on the 2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including freshman Tyler Purdue (Mendham, N.J.) who led the team with a 3.60 grade-point average.
The others members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Colin McGeehin (Newtown Square, Pa.) and Greg Peterson (West Hartford, Conn.); juniors James Kennedy (Summit, N.J.), Tim Pond (Port Washington, N.Y.) and Daniel Schmader (Radnor, Pa.); sophomores John Daugherty (Stafford, Va.), Tripper Gandy (New Vernon, N.J.), Jake Graham (Wilmington, Del.) and Bobby McLaughlin (Lindenhurst, N.Y.); and freshmen Jack Foster (Midlothian, Va.), Clay Haarmann (Mendham, N.J.), Terry McKenna (Summit, N.J.), Jon Pillon (Branchburg, N.J.), Conor Shanahan (Potomac, Md.), Jack Spencer (Garden City, N.Y.) and Jamie Ward (Glen Rock, N.J.).
A total of 107 student-athletes from men's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
