WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team placed 13 student-athletes on the 2011 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Conor McKenna (Summit, N.J.) who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester. McKenna, who was an Economics and Math major, also recorded a 4.0 average during the 2010 season. He was just one of nine student-athletes on the men's lacrosse Academic Honor Roll to have a 4.0 average or better.
The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Douglas Broussard (Floral Park, N.Y.), Brandon DeLisio (Woodstock, N.Y.), Matt Moran (West Henrietta, N.Y.) and Anthony Quinn (Port Washington, N.Y.); juniors Ricky DeCicco (Manhasset, N.Y.), David Henry (Davidsonville, Md.), Colin McGeehin (Newtown Square, Pa.) and Greg Peterson (West Hartford, Conn.); sophomores James Kennedy (Summit, N.J.) and Daniel Schmader (Radnor, Pa.); and freshmen John Daugherty (Stafford, Va.) and Matt Mahany (Farmington, Conn.).
A total of 112 student-athletes from men's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
