Douglas Broussard Earns Academic All-New England Honors

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior men's lacrosse captain Douglas Broussard (Floral Park, N.Y.) has earned 2011 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-New England honors. This team acknowledges graduating seniors from their respective schools, who have earned over a 3.0 grade point average and have excelled on the field.

Broussard, who is an Economics and Religious Studies major, concluded his career with 197 career ground balls. He led the team this season with 60 ground balls and a career-best 27 caused turnovers as he played in every game during his career. As a junior, Broussard earned second team NEILA All-New England honors and received second team All-Patriot League accolades as he became only the fourth Crusader to earn All-Patriot League honors.
