WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore goalie Mike Fisher (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 4-10 . Fisher helped lead the Holy Cross men's lacrosse team to a 1-1 record last week, and earned his first career victory at Lafayette on Saturday.
During the 9-6 win over the Leopards, Fisher posted a .700 save percentage by making 14 saves while allowing just six goals in 60 minutes of action. The six goals allowed to Lafayette were the fewest by a Holy Cross opponent in a single game this season. Fisher also played 11:36 off the bench in Tuesday's 15-5 loss at Vermont, making two saves and allowing two goals.
Overall this season, Fisher has posted a 10.86 goals against average, while totaling 70 saves and a .504 save percentage in a team-high 381:03 of action.
The Crusaders (1-10 overall, 1-4 Patriot League) return to action on Tuesday, April 12, when they travel to Bryant for a 7:00 p.m. game.
