WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's lacrosse team had 13 student-athletes on the 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Rich Durand (Oradell, N.J.) who was named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time.
The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Brian Becker (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Sean Daly (Canton, Mass.); juniors Tim Barrar (West Chester, Pa.), Brendan Candon (Long Beach, N.Y.), Kenny Minor (South Hadley, Mass.), Mike Nagle (Timonium, Md.) and Edison Parzanese (Edgartown, Mass.); sophomores Conor McKenna (Summit, N.J.), Matt Moran (West Henrietta, N.Y.), Justin Rowley (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Eamon Troy (Summit, N.J.); and freshman Greg Peterson (West Hartford, Conn.).
A total of 95 student-athletes from men's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
