WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman forward Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week, for his performance in the 5-5 tie at Air Force on Saturday, November 24, when he recorded his first collegiate hat trick.
Sheen scored the first goal of the game, while he tied the game at 3-3 with his second goal and gave the Crusaders a 5-4 lead with his third goal. He now has four goals and two assists for six points on the season.
The Crusaders return to action on Friday, November 30, when they travel to Storrs, Conn., to take on Atlantic Hockey opponent Connecticut at 7:00 p.m. The two teams will meet again on Saturday, December 1, when Holy Cross hosts the Huskies at the Hart Center at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday night, the eight hockey players that are members of the Holy Cross Varsity Club Hall of Fame will be honored with an on ice recognition. The following members will be in attendance with their families: Larry Murphy '70, Gerry Curley '81, Jim Stewart '79, Joe Lunny '86, Glenn Graves '77, Bill Bellerose '77, Dean Casagrande '83 and Matt Muniz '87.
