WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross sophomore forward Jordan Cyr (Winnipeg, Manitoba) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week for his four-goal performance in the two-game series against Mercyhurst on Nov. 7-8. This is the first time that Cyr has received this honor.
In the first game, he netted two goals, while in the second game he also scored two goals including the game-winner in overtime for the 4-3 victory. For the year, his four goals are tied for first on the team, while his seven points are tied for second.
The Crusaders (2-4-1, 2-3-1 Atlantic Hockey) return to action when they host No. 13 in the nation and undefeated Air Force on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15. Holy Cross is tied for second place in the conference standings, while the Falcons are 8-0-0 overall and are in first place in Atlantic Hockey with a 6-0-0 record. Their eight-game winning streak is the longest in the country and they currently have the top ranked offense in the nation with 5.12 goals scored per game. Friday's game is set for 6:30 p.m., while Saturday's will begin at 7:00 p.m.
