Former Crusader Goalie Ben Conway Signs With Memphis

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Former Holy Cross goaltender Ben Conway has signed a contract with the Central Hockey League's Memphis RiverKings for the 2006-07 season.

A four-year member (2002-2006) of the Holy Cross men's hockey team and a native of South Hadley, Mass., Conway played in 45 games and ranks second all-time at the school in save percentage (.909), while he is third all-time in goals against average (2.56). He earned Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week honors twice in his career and received the 2004-05 Atlantic Hockey Regular Season Goaltending Award for posting the best goals against average in league games with a 2.31. Conway was also a three-year member of the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team.

Conway was a member of a class that won 82 games, which are the most wins in a four-year period in the program's history. He was also a part of two NCAA Tournament Appearances, the first ever NCAA Tournament win in school history and two Atlantic Hockey Tournament and Regular Season titles.
