WORCESTER, Mass. - Current Holy Cross sophomore Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) participated in the Anaheim Ducks' summer conditioning camp from June 27-July 3 at Anaheim Ice. He was one of 24 players that were involved in on-ice and off-ice workouts.
Sheen is coming off a rookie season in which he played in all 36 games for Holy Cross as he led the team in goals (15) and tied for third in points (24), while he tied for sixth on the team in assists (nine). His six power play goals and two game-winning goals tied for second on the team in each category. Sheen received the team's Seventh Player Award and was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team. He also earned Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week honors three times and was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Month for December as he scored five of Holy Cross' seven goals in the four games played in the month. His 15 goals were tied for seventh in the nation by rookies, while he was ranked second in the conference in goals by freshmen.
Sheen and the Crusaders will open the season on Oct. 17-18 when they host Atlantic Hockey opponent Canisius in a two-game series. Holy Cross returns 16 letterwinners, including four starters.
