WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Brodie Sheahan (Lethbridge, Alberta) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 26-February 1. Sheahan totaled two goals and one assist last weekend, as the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team swept a two-game series at Connecticut.
During Friday's win over the Huskies, Sheahan scored a power play goal in the second period to make the score 3-2, as the Crusaders rallied from a 3-0 deficit to post a 5-3 victory. Then in Saturday's 4-1 win over Connecticut, he added a goal and an assist. Sheahan assisted on a goal by sophomore forward Jordan Cyr (Winnipeg, Manitoba) which put Holy Cross up 3-0 midway through the first period, then scored the Crusaders' final goal of the game early in the third period.
On the season, Sheahan now ranks second on the team in scoring with 19 points on eight goals and 11 assists. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has totaled 26 goals and 39 assists for 65 points.
The Crusaders (10-11-5 overall, 9-8-3 Atlantic Hockey) return to action on Friday, February 6, when they play host to Bentley at 7:00 p.m.
