Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's hockey team will play one game at the FleetCenter in Boston, Feb. 12 against Atlantic Hockey rival Quinnipiac at 5 p.m., announced by the league office, as part of a conference doubleheader. Connecticut and Bentley will square-off following the Holy Cross-Quinnipiac game at 8 p.m.
In order to accommodate the venue change to the FleetCenter, a few scheduling changes had to be made for some of the members of Atlantic Hockey. Holy Cross has changed its home game against Quinnipiac on Friday, Jan. 21 to Saturday, Feb. 12 at the FleetCenter. The Crusaders road contest at Sacred Heart has been moved from Saturday, Feb. 12 to Friday, Feb. 18.
"We are very excited to play at the FleetCenter," Head Coach Paul Pearl said. "It's a great opportunity for our alumni and fans to come and see us play in a professional venue."
The games will mark the first time that the FleetCenter will host a non-tournament college hockey event.
Tickets for the event are $10 and can be purchased at the Holy Cross ticket office or by calling (508) 793-2573. Student tickets are also available for $5 and can only be purchased at the Holy Cross ticket office or by calling (508) 793-2573.
Holy Cross next plays at Mercyhurst, Friday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and wraps up the weekend with an afternoon game at Canisius on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m.
