John Binkoski is in his sixth season on the Holy Cross staff. He will once again assume the duties of coaching the goaltenders. Binkoski hails from Arlington, Mass., and was a goaltender for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst from 1970-1974. The year after graduation, Binkoski jumped right into coaching. He served as a goalie coach at UMass-Amherst and coached the J.V. team at Deerfield Academy. From 1977-1983, Binkoski worked as an assistant coach at Framingham South High School. He then became the head coach at Framingham State College from 1983-1988, guiding the Rams to two postseason appearances. Binkoski has been a goaltending coach and co-director of Bertagna Goaltending Camps since 1978. Since 1998, he has been teaching Latin at Shrewsbury High School, where he has served as assistant coach in both hockey and baseball. Binkoski and his wife Mary Ann have two children Jacqueline and Michael. They reside in Worcester.
