Matt Ginn Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior goaltender Matt Ginn (Lindsay, Ontario) has been named the Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 13-19. Ginn helped lead the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a pair of victories at Niagara last weekend.

During Friday's 4-2 victory over the Purple Eagles, Ginn made 41 saves while allowing only two goals. Then in Saturday's 3-2 win over Niagara, he recorded 38 saves with just two goals allowed. Over the course of the two games, Ginn went 2-0 with a 2.00 goals against average and a .952 save percentage.

On the season, Ginn stands 6-15-2 with 698 saves and a 2.83 goals against average. Over the course of his collegiate career, he owns a 42-36-7 record with 2,321 saves and a 2.61 goals against average.

Holy Cross (6-15-2 overall, 5-9-2 Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 25, when it plays host to Bentley at 7:00 p.m.
