Brett Lubanski Named GoHolyCross.com Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore forward Brett Lubanski (Farmington Hills, Mich.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 29-November 3. Lubanski helped the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a 4-3 victory over Sacred Heart in its only game last week.

During Friday's contest against the Pioneers, Lubanski scored the game-winning goal, breaking a 3-3 tie with only 45 seconds remaining in the third period. He took a pass from junior forward Tommy Dwyer (Ridgefield, Conn.) in the faceoff circle, then sent the puck across the ice to beat the Sacred Heart goalie on the opposite side.

In 43 career games played, Lubanski has now totaled four points on one goal and three assists.

Holy Cross (1-5 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Friday, Nov. 8, when it travels to Army for a 7:00 p.m. game.
