WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team had 19 players earn 2012-2013 Atlantic Hockey All-Academic honors. Brandon Nunn (Fairport, N.Y.) made the All-Academic team for the fourth time. Junior Jeffrey Reppucci (Newburyport, Mass.) posted a 4.0 grade-point-average as he was one of 11 student-athletes from around the league to earn a 4.0 or better.
The other members of the team to earn All-Academic accolades were seniors Kyle Fletcher (Kanata, Ontario), Rob Linsmayer (Winnetka, Ill.), Thomas Tysowsky (Amherst, N.Y.) and Erik Vos (Carlisle, Ontario); juniors Derek Kump (Falmouth, Maine), Ryan McGrath (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Mark Williamson (Centennial, Colo.); sophomores Mike McNamara (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and Nilan Nagy (Canonsburg, Pa.); and freshmen Karl Beckman (Okemos, Mich.), Tim Driscoll (Hingham, Mass.), Sean Gustin (Stoneham, Mass.), Ben Kaplan (Burlington, Vt.), Brett Lubanski (Farmington Hills, Mich.), Joe McNamara (Chestnut Hill, Mass.), Castan Sommer (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Matt Vidal (Manorville, N.Y.).
To qualify for Atlantic Hockey All-Academic honors an individual must post a 3.0 grade point average or higher in all of the academic periods during which his team was actively competing. There were 184 student-athletes named to the team this season marking a new record.
