Men’s Hockey Announces 2013-2014 Freshman Class

WORCESTER, Mass.­ Holy Cross head men's hockey coach Paul Pearl has announced the 2013-2014 freshman class for the Crusaders. Mike Barrett (Orland Park, Ill.), Nick Finn (Canton, Mass.), Cameron Lawson (Vancouver, British Columbia), Brett McKinnon (Kelowna, British Columbia) and Logan Smith (Littleton, Colo.) will join the Holy Cross program in the 2013-2014 academic year.

"We are extremely excited about the young men we have coming to Holy Cross in the fall," said Pearl. "They each bring a different element and they will all be expected to contribute right away."

Brett McKinnon F 5-11  180  Kelowna, British Columbia / West Kelowna Warriors (BCHL) 
"Brett is a strong left winger who forechecks tenaciously. He is good around the net and has excellent speed."
Logan Smith 6-4  210  Littleton, Colo. / Langley Rivermen (BCHL) 
"Logan is a big strong puck moving defenseman who can play in all situations. In his first year on the Langley Rivermen he was voted captain."
