Jake Youso Named AT&T Crusader of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore forward Jake Youso (International Falls, Minn.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 3-9. Youso helped lead the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a pair of victories over Penn State in a two-game series last weekend.

During Friday night's 5-4 overtime victory over the Nittany Lions, Youso tallied two assists. His first assist came on a goal by junior forward Shayne Stockton (Rochester, N.Y.) with 3:09 left in the third period to tie the score at 4-4, and his other assist came on the game-winning goal by senior forward Erik Vos (Carlisle, Ontario) in overtime. Then in Saturday's 4-1 win over Penn State, Youso scored the game-winning goal with 19:35 remaining in the second period.

On the season, he now ranks eighth on the team in scoring with five goals and three assists for eight points. Over the course of his career with the Crusaders, Youso has totaled 11 points on five goals and six assists.

Holy Cross (9-4-2 overall, 6-3-2 Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 30, when it faces Yale at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass.
