BEFORE HOLY CROSS:
• Played varsity hockey at the Belmont Hill School for coach Jeremiah McCarthy
• Four-year member of the team and captain as a senior
• Earned 2010, 2011 and 2012 All-League honors
• Won the 2012 Belmont Hill School Sportsmanship Award
• Member of the Boston Junior Eagles (New England Fall Prep Hockey League) for coach Dan Ronan
• Team won the 2010 and 2011 New England Fall Prep Hockey League championship
• Also played two years of varsity tennis at the Belmont Hill School
• President of the Meadowgreen Nursing Home Community Service Group
• Won the 2012 Belmont Hill School Community Service Award

PERSONAL:
• Son of John and Katie McNamara
• Father played hockey at Boston College (Class of 1986)
• Mother was a member of the tennis team at Boston College (Class of 1987), is a member of the Boston College Hall of Fame, and was named the Big East Athlete of the 1980s in women’s tennis
• Has three brothers (Kevin, Jack and Mike)
• Brothers Kevin (Class of 2012) and Jack (Class of 2014) both played hockey at Colgate
• His brother Mike (Class of 2015) is his teammate on the Holy Cross hockey team
