WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross graduating senior forward Jay Silvia (Burlington, Mass.) has signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) with the AHL's Worcester Sharks. The Sharks are the affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks. The Sharks have three regular seasons games left on their schedule.
Silvia played in 140 career games which are tied for seventh all-time at the school. His 34 career goals and 10 game-winning goals were the most by any current member of the team. He also posted 30 assists for 64 career points. Over his career he was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week, the AHA Rookie of the Week, the AT&T Crusader of the Week and won the team's Seventh Player award. This season, he played in all 39 games with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points. As a junior he was named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team.
