WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey team will hold its third annual "Pink the Rink" on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Hart Center during its game versus Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. This year, the Crusaders will raise money for breast cancer awareness by selling "Pink the Rink" T-shirts, holding a chuck-a-puck competition during an intermission and running a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will go to Pink Revolution, an alliance of dedicated individuals with a unified commitment to those touched by breast cancer at UMass Memorial and UMass Medical School here in Worcester.
"We are very excited to have our third annual 'Pink the Rink Day'," said Holy Cross head men's hockey coach Paul Pearl. "It is a great cause and we are proud to be able to do a small part in helping breast cancer research."
"Pink the Rink" is part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Holy Cross as the women's ice hockey team hosted its first annual "Pink the Rink" and the women's basketball team held its annual "Think Pink Day."
