WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore forward Brandon Nunn (Fairport, N.Y.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 31-February 6. Nunn led the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a pair of victories over American International College last weekend.
During Friday night's 5-2 win over the Yellow Jackets, Nunn set new career highs with two goals and three assists for five points. He scored the first goal of the game at the 12:05-mark of the first period, before adding what proved to be the game-winning goal at the 13:39-mark of the second period. Then in Saturday night's 8-4 victory over AIC, Nunn scored two more goals. Both of his goals came in the first period, tying the score at 2-2 after the Yellow Jackets had jumped out to an early 2-0 lead.
Overall this season, Nunn has now totaled five goals and seven assists for 12 points. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has 15 points on six goals and nine assists.
The Crusaders return to action this Friday, Feb. 11, when they play host to Army at 7:00 p.m.
