Everett Sheen Named Atlantic Hockey Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass – Holy Cross senior forward Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week as he recorded two goals and three assists for five points as the Crusaders earned two conference victories on the road. This is the second time he has received this honor as he also earned it once last season.

Sheen tallied two assists, including one on the game-winner, in the 3-2 win versus AIC on Oct. 15. He then scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, and recorded one assist for three points in the 5-4 win over Army on Oct. 17. With Holy Cross trailing 4-2 versus Army, Sheen then posted a point on the Crusaders' three straight goals. He scored a power play goal with just eight seconds left in the second period to make the score 4-3, while he assisted on the game-tying goal in the third period. Sheen then scored the game-winner with just 11 seconds left in overtime for his fourth career game-winning goal.

Sheen leads the team with seven points and five assists, while his two goals are second. He has recorded at least two points in three of the four games. Sheen leads all current Crusaders with 37 goals and 39 points for 76 career points.

The Crusaders (2-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 Atlantic Hockey) will return to action when they play at ECACHL member Quinnipiac (2-1-0 overall) in Hamden, Conn., at the TD Bank Sports Center on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 4:00 p.m.
