WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's hockey program has named senior Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) as captain for the 2010-2011. Sheen was also a captain last season.
Sheen finished second on the team this season with 20 points, while he was fourth with nine goals and 11 assists. He was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week for his performances against UConn (Nov. 24) and No. 11 Yale (Nov. 28). For the week he recorded three goals and one assist for four points. This was the first time that he had received this honor.
As a freshman he was named the AHA Rookie of the Week three times and the Rookie of the Month once. He also earned Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team honors as he led the team with 15 goals. Sheen had another outstanding season as a sophomore as he scored 11 goals, while he had a career-best 14 assists and a career-best 25 points. His 14 assists ranked second on the team, while his 25 points were third and his 11 goals were tied for third. He has played every game during his career and has 35 goals and 34 assists for 69 career points. He is a two-time member of the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.
The Crusaders return 21 players from the 2009-2010 season.
