WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior forward Jordan Cyr (Winnipeg, Manitoba) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Co-Player of the Week. This is the third time this season and the fourth time in his career that Cyr has earned this honor.
Cyr recorded one goal and one assist for two points in the 4-2 Atlantic Hockey Tournament first round victory over AIC on March 5. He scored Holy Cross' first goal to tie the game at 1-1, and then he assisted on the eventual game-winner that gave the Crusaders a 3-1 lead. Cyr has at least one point in four straight games and in seven of the last eight. He leads the team with 13 goals and a career-best 15 assists for 28 points.
With the win over AIC, the seventh-seeded Crusaders (12-17-6 overall) advance to a best-two-out-of-three quarterfinal series versus second seed Sacred Heart (18-12-4 overall) at the Milford Ice Pavilion in Milford, Conn., at 7:00 p.m. on March 12-14.
