WORCESTER, Mass. - Tickets are on sale now for Holy Cross' men's hockey game against American International in the 2010 Atlantic Hockey Tournament first round at the Hart Center on Friday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the game may be purchased by calling (508) 793-2573 or visiting the Holy Cross Ticket Office during business hours (9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students or senior citizens.
Holy Cross finished in seventh place in the Atlantic Hockey standings with 25 points and the Yellow Jackets finished 10th with 14 points. Last year in the first round, Holy Cross defeated the Yellow Jackets by a score of 1-0 in overtime with the game-winner by junior Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta). This season, the Crusaders are 0-2-2 versus AIC with both losses on the road and both ties at home.
Holy Cross is 5-0-0 all-time in Atlantic Hockey Tournament games played at the Hart Center. Holy Cross defeated Sacred Heart in 2005, AIC, UConn and Bentley in 2006 to win the title, and the Yellow Jackets last season.
With a win over AIC, the Crusaders will advance to a best-two-out-of-three quarterfinals series versus second seed Sacred Heart at the Milford Ice Pavilion in Milford, Conn., on March 12-14.
