WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman goalie Thomas Tysowsky (Amherst, N.Y.) was named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Week for his performance versus No. 7 Quinnipiac on Dec. 10. This is the second time this season he has earned this honor, while he also was named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month for October.
Tysowsky stopped 23 of 24 shots for a .958 save percentage and a 0.92 goals against average as Holy Cross tied No. 7 Quinnipiac, 1-1. For the season his 2.20 goals against average leads Atlantic Hockey and is 13th nationally. He also has a .913 save percentage which is fifth around the league.
The Crusaders (4-9-4, 4-6-3 Atlantic Hockey) return to action on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 2-3, when they compete at the Ledyard National Bank Classic hosted by Dartmouth. Holy Cross will play No. 14 UMass Lowell on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., while on Sunday the Crusaders will play either Dartmouth or Northeastern.
