WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week for his performances against UConn (Nov. 24) and No. 11 Yale (Nov. 28). For the week he recorded three goals and one assist for four points. This is the first time that he has received this honor. As a freshman he was named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week three times and the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Month once.
On Nov. 24, he scored two goals as Holy Cross defeated UConn, 5-0, while on Nov. 28 he netted one goal and posted one assist as the Crusaders fell to No. 11 Yale, 7-3. For the season, Sheen's seven goals and 12 points lead the team, while he also has five assists. He has recorded 33 goals and 28 assists for 61 career points.
The Crusaders (4-8-2 overall, 4-5-2 Atlantic Hockey) return to action on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4-5, when they play first-place RIT (8-5-0 overall, 8-2-0 Atlantic Hockey) at the Hart Center for a two-game series. The games are at 7:00 p.m.
