WORCESTER, Mass. - With the 2005-2006 season now complete, the Holy Cross men's golf team is looking ahead to the 2006-2007 campaign. The top six players off of last year's squad will all return, led by junior Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.), who averaged 76.4 strokes per round. Joining Hajjar on the roster will be junior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.), sophomore Joe DePanfilis (Keene, N.H.), sophomore Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.), senior Chris Gorczyca (Mashpee, Mass.) and junior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.).
All other players off the 2005-2006 roster, in addition to all prospective candidates for the team, must qualify for the remaining spots.
The qualifying tournament will be held on September 2, 3, 9 and 10 at Heritage Golf Club in Charlton, Mass. The qualifier will be played over 72 holes (medal play), with a cut to the low 10 scores and ties after 36 holes.
