The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, April 8, when they take part in Lou Flumere Invitational, to be held at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass.
In its last meet, Holy Cross finished in 19th place out of 22 schools at the George Washington Invitational, held at the Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Ocean View, Del., on March 20-21.
Sophomore James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) tied for the best score on the team at the George Washington Inviational with 162 strokes, to tie for 63rd place overall. Widman shot an 81 in both the first and second rounds of the tournament. On the season, he is now averaging 81.1 strokes per round, good for the second-best average on the team.
Senior Joe DePanfilis (Keene, N.H.) also shot a 162 at the George Washington Invitational, to tie with Widman for 63rd place overall. DePanfilis had an 84 in the first round, then came back with a 78 in the second round. On the year, he is now averaging 81.6 strokes per round, to rank fourth on the team.
