Patriot League Men's Golf Preseason Poll Released

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Holy Cross men's golf team has been picked sixth in the 2007 Patriot League Championship preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league. Bucknell was picked to win the title as it earned eight first place votes and 66 total points. Army had five first place votes and 64 total points as it was picked second, followed by Navy (52 total points), Lehigh (45 total points), Colgate (28 total points), Holy Cross (22 total points) and Lafayette (17 total points).
The Patriot League Championship is scheduled for April 21-22 in West Point, N.Y. Last year, in Annapolis, Md., Holy Cross placed sixth. The Crusaders are set to kick off the 2007 spring season when they compete at the Fort Lauderdale Classic on March 8-9 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
