Holy Cross Men's Golf Places 20th At NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. - Sophomore Tim McGovern (Oradell, N.J.) shot a two-round total of 157, as the Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 20th place out of 44 teams at the 74th New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship, held at the Captains Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday. McGovern finished in a tie for 35th place overall. The Crusaders had a total score of 646, while Bryant won the tournament with a score of 604. The Crusaders have concluded the fall season.

Senior Joe DePanfilis (Keene, N.H.) had the second best score for Holy Cross with a 160, which was good enough for a tie for 63rd. Senior co-captain Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) tied for 95th place with a 164, while sophomore James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) tied for 100th place with a score of 165 and senior co-captain Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.) tied for 179th with a 179.
