Hyannis, Mass.- The Holy Cross men's golf team earned a 14th place finish out of 45 teams at the NEIGA Championship on Monday and Tuesday, at the Captain's Club in Hyannis, Mass. The Crusaders had a two-round team score of 637. Sophomore Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) had the top performance for Holy Cross with a two day score of 156 which was good for 36th place. Rhode Island won the event with a score of 592.
Sophomore Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) and junior Chris Gorczyca (Mashpee, Mass.) each had a score of 159 which was good for 59th place. Freshman Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) shot a 166, while sophomore Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) had a score of 168.
The Crusaders wrap up their fall season on October 23-24, when they travel to Amherst, Mass., to compete in the Toski Invitational at Hickory Ridge Country Club.
