Men's Golf Defeats Providence

Sutton, Mass.- The Holy Cross men's golf team defeated Providence by a score of 382-405, in dual team competition on Saturday, October 1, at the Blackstone National Golf Club, in Sutton, Mass. Crusader sophomore Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) and freshman Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) each shot the best round of the match for Holy Cross with a 75.

Sophomore Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) had a round of 76, while freshman Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.) shot a 77 and junior Jared Dolan (North Reading, Mass.) shot a 79 to round out the Crusaders' top five.

Providence was led by Mike May's 75 and Brian McMahon's 79.

The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the three-day McDonald Cup in New Haven, Conn., on October 7-9.
