Men's Golf Places Ninth At Dartmouth Invite

HANOVER, N.H.- The Holy Cross men's golf team placed ninth out of 12 teams at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club. Junior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) led the Crusaders as he tied for 13th place with a two-round score of 154. The Crusaders finished the two-day tournament with a total of 635, while Binghamton won the event with a 596.

Freshman Anthony Ardito (Portland, Maine) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 159 which was good enough for a tie for 31st place, while junior Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) shot a 161 for a tie for 37th. Senior Jared Dolan (North Reading, Mass.) tied for 53rd with a 167 and senior Chris Gorczyca (Mashpee, Mass.) placed 60th with a 171.

The Crusaders will return to action on October 7-8, when they compete at the Army Mulekicker Classic at the West Point Golf Course in West Point, N.Y.
