Holy Cross Men's Golf Places Fourth At Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. -- Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) shot a nine-over par 151 over two rounds to lead the Holy Cross men's golf team to a fourth place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational, played on Saturday and Sunday at the Hanover Country Club. The Crusaders finished with a team total of 618 strokes, at 50-over par. Dartmouth won the team title with a 31-over par 599.

Following Czarnecki in fourth place, senior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) finished 11th as an individual with 154 strokes. Freshman James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) came in 13th with a 156, followed by senior Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) in 17th place with 158 strokes and junior Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) in 33rd place with 164 strokes.

The Crusaders return to action Oct. 6 and 7, when they will take part in the MacDonald Cup in New Haven, Conn.
