Men's Golf Places Fourth At Assumption Shootout

BOYLSTON, Mass. - The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in fourth place out of seven teams at the Assumption Shootout at the Cyprian Keyes Golf Club on Tuesday. Sophomore Colin Andrade (Assonet, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a round of 75, which was good enough for a tie for third place. Holy Cross finished the tournament with a total score of 322, while American International won the event with a 317.

Senior co-captain Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 78. Sophomore Tim McGovern (Oradell, N.J.) had an 83, while senior co-captain Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and sophomore James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) each had a round of 86.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21, when they will compete at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H., at 8:00 a.m.
