HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Holy Cross men's golf team placed 12th out of 15 teams at the Colgate Invitational at the Seven Oaks Golf Course. Senior Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) led the Crusaders as he tied for 15th place with a two-round score of 154. Holy Cross finished the two-day tournament with a total of 640, while Colgate won the event with a 597.
Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 155 which was good enough for a tie for 21st place, while senior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) had a 164 for a tie for 52nd. Sophomore Anthony Ardito (Portland, Maine) finished in 64th place with a 167 and junior Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.) tied for 66th with a 169.
The Crusaders return to action on September 22-23, when they compete in the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H.
