Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At New England Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in seventh place out of 11 teams at the New England Division I Championship at Triggs Memorial Golf Course. Freshman James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) tied for 17th place with a two-round score of 151 to lead the Crusaders. Holy Cross had a total score of 623, while Yale won the event with a score of 583.
Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) had the second best two-day score for the Crusaders with a 152 which was good enough for a tie for 20th, while senior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) tied for 27th with a 155.
The Crusaders return to action on April 26-27, when they compete at the Patriot League Championship at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
