STOW, Mass. - Sophomore James Widman (Middlebury, Conn.) shot a 78 to tie for 11th, as the Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 11th out of 20 teams at the Lou Flumere Invitational, held at the Stow Acres Country Club on Wednesday. The Crusaders had a total score of 333, while Salem State won the meet with a score of 302. The Holy Cross B team finished in 17th place with a 350.
Sophomore John Weber (Branford, Conn.) had the second best score for Holy Cross as he tied for 16th with a 79 for the B team. Sophomore Colin Andrade (Assonet, Mass.) had an 81 which was good enough for a tie for 25th, while senior Joe DePanfilis (Keene, N.H.) had an 85 and tied for 51st. Sophomore James Burokas (Marshfield, Mass.) was on the B team and tied for 64th with an 87, while senior Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) tied for 71st with an 89.
The Crusaders return to action when they travel to Portsmouth, R.I., to compete at the Northeast Invitational on April 17.
