Crusaders Place 10th At Fort Lauderdale Spring Classic

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Sophomore Joe Hajjar (Mahwah, N.J.) shot a team-best 10-over-par, 152 over two rounds, as the Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 10th place at the Fort Lauderdale Spring Classic, held at the Grande Oaks Golf Club. Hajjar came in 30th place as an individual, while the Crusaders' team total of 619 was 31 strokes behind first place St. Bonaventure.

After Hajjar, freshmen Brian Flood (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and Joe DePanfilis (Keene, N.H.) tied for 39th place with identical scores of 154. Sophomore Chris Gorczyca (Mashpee, Mass.) finished in 44th place with a total of 156, while sophomore Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) placed 51st with a 157.

The Crusaders return to action on Wednesday, April 5, when they take part in the Lou Flumere Invitational at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass.
