Holy Cross Places Seventh At Fort Lauderdale Collegiate Classic

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Holy Cross men's golf team placed seventh out of eight teams at the 2008 Fort Lauderdale Collegiate Classic, played at the Grande Oaks Country Club. Senior Ryan Kenny (Medford, Mass.) led the Crusaders with a two-round score of 144, good for eighth place. The Crusaders finished the two-day tournament with a team total of 623 strokes, while Detroit won the event with a 567.

Senior Matt Czarnecki (Greenwich, Conn.) had the second-best score of the weekend for Holy Cross with a 156, while junior Pat Brown (Silver Spring, Md.) finished with a 160.

The Crusaders will return to action on Wednesday, April 2, when they will compete at the Lou Flumere Invitational in Stowe, Mass.
