NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 11th place out of 11 teams at the Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 19 at the par-70 Yale Golf Course. The Crusaders came in with a two-round team score of 653 (+93), while Harvard claimed the tournament crown with a total score of 573 (+13).
Holy Cross was led by senior captain Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y.) who finished in a tie for 50th place with a two-round total of 162 (+22). Crusader junior John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) tied for 53rd place with a total score of 163 (+23), while freshman Cameron Murray (Traverse City, Mich.) carded a 164 (+24), which tied him for 55th place. Holy Cross juniors Craig Norton (Foxboro, Mass.) and Connor Burfeind (Falmouth, Maine) tied for 58th and 65th place, respectively, with two-round totals of 166 (+26) and 176 (+36).
The Crusaders return to action on Monday, April 21, with the Assumption Shootout held at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Mass.
