Men's Golf Places Eighth At Rhody Invitational

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in eighth place out of eight teams at the Rhody Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6 at the Par-71 Green Valley Golf Club. The Crusaders finished with a team score of 654 strokes, while Rhode Island won the event with 597 strokes. 

Holy Cross junior John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Crusaders with a two-day score of 159 strokes, which tied him for 26th place. Senior captain Peter Cahill (Wellesley, Mass.) placed in 36th with a total score of 162, while junior Connor Burfeind (Falmouth, Maine) tied for 39th place with a scorecard of 164 strokes.

Holy Cross senior captain Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y.) and freshman Spencer Arnaud (Tuscon, Ariz.) finished in 49th and 54th place, respectively, with scores of 169 and 188. 

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13, when they will compete in the New England Division I Championship held at Pautipaug Country Club.
