Men’s Golf Finishes 16th At Adams Cup

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Holy Cross men's golf team finished in 16th place at the Adams Cup hosted by Rhode Island on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 16-17 at the par-72 Newport National Country Club. The Crusaders came in with a three-round total score of 977 strokes (+113), as Central Florida claimed the tournament crown with a team score of 856 strokes (-8).

Holy Cross was led by senior captain Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y.) who tied for 65th place with a three-round total of 241 strokes (+25). Senior captain Peter Cahill (Wellesley, Mass.) came in at plus-28 (244), which tied him for 71st place, while freshman Spencer Arnaud (Tucson, Ariz.) finished in a tie for 75th place, as he carded a total score of 245 (+29).

Juniors Craig Norton (Foxboro, Mass.) and John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y.) finished in 81st and 90th place, respectively, with three-round totals of 248 (+32) and 260 (+44).

Holy Cross returns to action on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 23-24, when it will compete in the Hartford Invitational held at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn.
