Men’s Golf Names 2013-2014 Captains

WORCESTER, Mass. The Holy Cross men's golf program has named seniors Peter Cahill (Wellesley, Mass.) and Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y.) as its 2013-2014 team captains.

As a junior, Cahill was named to the NEIGA Division I All-New England team, and led the team with a sixth place finish, shooting a round of 76 at the NEIGA Championship. As a sophomore, he finished with a stroke average of 78.5, which was the second lowest on the team.

DiStefano won the longest drive competition at the 2012 NEIGA Championship. He tied for the team lead in two events. As a sophomore, he finished with a 79.9 stroke average and competed in six events. During his freshman year, he was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. He also tied for the individual title at the Assumption Shootout, notching a season-low round of 70.

The Holy Cross men's golf team will return to action after the summer break. The fall portion of the schedule will be announced at a later date.
