Steve Zychowski Named To Academic All-Patriot League Team

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross men's golf senior captain Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) was named to the 2012-2013 Academic All-Patriot League Team, as voted on by the league's sports information directors. To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.

A member of the 2011 and 2012 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, Zychowski led the Crusaders with an 18-hole average score of 75.7 in 2013. He was tournament medalist at a pair of events during the 2013 season, winning the Adelphi-AIC intercollegiate Classic on October 21, 2012 and the Assumption Shootout on April 16, 2013. He shot a career-low round of 69 twice this season and finished tied for 14th at the 2013 Patriot League Championship. Academically, Zychowski holds a 3.20 GPA.

A tri-captain for the 2012-2013, Zychowski earned first team All-Patriot League honors in 2010 and 2011. He also qualified for the United States Amateur Championship in 2010 and 2012.
