Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At Patriot League Championship
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) tied for 23rd individually as the Holy Cross men's golf team finished in seventh place at the two-day Patriot League Championship, held at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Crusaders finished the championship with a total of 935 strokes as Zychowski finished with 231 strokes. Navy took home the Patriot League Championship crown with a team score of 878.
Following Zychowski was sophomore Peter Cahill's (Wellesley, Mass.) three-round total of 231 strokes and a 32nd place finish. Rounding out Holy Cross' performances were 239s by senior Andrew Wong (Wailuku, Hawaii), freshman John Reali (Searingtown, N.Y) and sophomore Tim DiStefano (Albany, N.Y) and a 247 by junior Roberto Machado (Miami, Fla.). Army's William Park took the individual title, finishing with a score of 211.
The 2012 Patriot League Golf Championship marks the final event for the Holy Cross men's golf team this season.
